... is a Montreal-based spatial designer and interdisciplinary artist working primarily across video and performance. Tracing the limits of the body and/in space, his practice contends with and casts doubt upon pre-constructed, socio-spatial orders through apertures of policy, memory, and identity.
        He holds a Master of Architecture from McGill University where he was awarded the Ping Kwan Lau Prize in Architecture for his final design project, Rehearsing the (*) Bathroom. He also collaborated on Eagle Village, an artist book notably acquired by the CCA, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Getty Research Institute.

Blue Paper Suit, Tape 2 to [...]

2025–ongoing

 Once the ideal is formed to the body, it loses its shape to become more human. In 2024, I assembled, wore, and tore a blue paper copy of a generic men’s long sleeve shirt and pair of denim pants sourced from my personal wardrobe. Part of a larger body of work, the blue paper suit contemplated the flattening of the body and the fragility of enforced binary systems of gender within the context of the public bathroom and so-called bathroom bills. Following a fallow period of nearly a year, I returned to the suit to mend its tears.

Unable to hold, the blue paper suit materializes a dissonance between the body and the representational devices which give it shape. Blue Paper Suit, Tape 2 to [...] is an ongoing series of reenactments—a negotiation between body and image, nature and construct, depth and surface, as tears and tape mends re-define and re-constrict the paper form.
